承襲Garmin產品的堅固耐用血統，Instinct GPS腕錶同樣經過層層淬煉，為讓使用者在艱困環境下也能正常使用，以符合美軍MIL-STD-810G測試標準打造Instinct，包括操作高度、落下衝擊、冷凍解凍、抗腐蝕等測試，加上防水功能可達水下100公尺的10 ATM標準，全方位防護，讓您在探險或運動時無後顧之憂。
以美軍標準MIL-STD-810G打造
根據 MIL-STD-810G，Instinct在操作高度測試中，通過500.6 程序I與II，可操作環境達1萬2千英呎，可存放環境能達到4萬英呎(約為國際航線飛行高度)； 落下衝擊測試部分，通過516.7程序IV，以122公分為標準，讓產品以不同角度落下，確保無損壞情形；冷凍解凍的驗證過程，通過524.1程序II與III，以每分鐘不超過3度C的溫變狀態，模擬由高空冰點解凍，或從室溫下進入冷凍，數個循環後未有故障情形，才算達標。
此外，在抗腐蝕方面，通過509.6程序一致性測試，Instinct得經過至少24小時以上的鹽霧不斷噴灑，再經過24小時以上乾燥過程，如無受蝕狀況，才能通過驗證，藉此保障產品在高鹽份環境如航海時，同樣堅固耐用。
GPS時間同步功能
當打開手錶並且抓取到衛星訊號時，裝置將自動偵測您所在的時區並且校時。
當您在不同時區移動時，您也可以手動方式開啟GPS，進而校正時間。
